Year-End Preparations
Dec 20, 2019Below are some important reports to be run at year-end. Take note of ones that should be generated on your last working day of the year and plan accordingly. Reports in XLDent can be both printed to paper and saved electronically (as a PDF). Both are recommended!
Clinic Accounts Receivable. Generate this report at the close of business on the last day of the year (or the last day you are working).
Found in Reports > Production > Clinic Accounts Receivable
Clinic Production and Collection. Provides an easy to read summary of Production, Collection, Debits and Credits for a particular time period.
Found in Reports > Production > Clinic Production and Collection
*The Summary option of this report totals each value for each month within the selected date range.
Patients by Last Visit. Want to know the number of patients you treated in 2019? This report must be run on the last working day of the year. Generate the Patients by Last Visit report using these parameters:
Date range: 1/1/19-12/31/19
Period Range: Within
Patient Status: Active, Inactive, Auxiliary, Collection
Found in Reports > Administrative > Patients by Last Visit
Practice Demographics. Get a breakdown of who makes up your patient base. See patients by age, gender, zip code, of insurance, and more! Run this report on your last working day and save it to see how one year progresses to the next.

Fee updates for the new year? Office fees are easily updated within XLDent, but before doing so, it's recommended to save a copy of your current fees for historical reference. Print the fee list from Reports > Listings > Treatment and Debit Codes. You may choose to reduce the size of the list by printing only those codes that have a fee associated with them. To do this, enter a fee value of $1 (or any value lower than your smallest treatment fee).
