DentalXChange Claim Update

As Change Healthcare continues to work on service restoration, we are currently helping customers get set up with DentalXChange that will allow claims to be submitted directly from the XLDent software.

If you have already completed an interest form, please note that due to the high volume of requests, response times may be delayed. At this time you should have been contacted by a DentalXChange representative. If you haven't connected with them yet, to get assistance with enrollment you may contact the DentalXChange team at 1-800-576-6412, ext. 455. The DXC team will help establish or locate your existing account, discuss the desired solutions, assist with billing setup (it is helpful to have credit card info ready), and finalize your DentalXChange enrollment.

  • By completing the interest form, am I enrolling in DentalXChange?
    • No. Completing the interest form let's us know that you are interested in learning more about this option. You will be given the opportunity to decide once you speak with a DentalXChange representative.
  • Is DentalXChange a permanent solution?
    • Yes, we plan to continue our partnership with DentalXChange as an additional integrated claims processing solution.
  • Will I be able to resume processing with Change Healthcare once services are back online?
    • Yes. Once Change Healthcare services are back online, clients will be able to choose to return to Change Healthcare or remain with DentalXChange.
  • What is the price for DentalXChange?
    • 51 cents per claim, billed directly by DentalXChange.
  • Is there anything else I need to know about this option?
    • As our development team continues to enhance the integration with DentalXChange, please note the following :
      • eClaim report responses and eligibility checks are not available at this time within XLDent however, you may utilize the DentalXChange portal for this information.
      • ERAs cannot be received automatically at this time.
      • NEA FastAttach can be used as before.
      • The CHC Attachment service is not available due to the outage however please inquire during your enrollment with DentalXChange.

If you are not interested in the DentalXChange solution you may continue with our previously recommended options until Change Healthcare services are restored. Other options:

  • Apply for temporary funding assistance. Optum (Change Healthcare) has expanded their temporary funding program.
  • Upload claims directly to payer portals
  • Print and mail claims
  • Manual submission through another clearinghouse
