Optum invites you to participate in the phase 1 launch of Optum Real for Dental, which includes a trial of Real Pre-Treatment Estimate and Real Denial Intelligence. These products will help provide insight into payer coverage, patient payment responsibility and likely claim denials - before care is delivered. During the trial, participating dental offices will have actionable, real-time insight into the following:*
- Patient eligibility
- Plan coverage for each CDT code
- How much the patient owes
- The likelihood the claim will be approved or denied. For likely denials, you’ll receive an explanation and corrective actions you can take before submitting the claim.
*In the initial phase, United Healthcare will be the only payer participating. We recommend participating in the trial if your office submits at least 10 UHC claims per month.
Participants will be asked to:
- Utilize Optum’s Pre-Treatment Estimate Portal for their UHC Patients
- Provide honest feedback to our periodic survey requests during the trial
