When multiple Providers (i.e. Hygienist and Doctor) see the Patient during his/her visit, logging off from the chart between providers allows each provider to record Treatment and/or Progress Notes. This method of recording information is commonly used in Medical healthcare settings for accurate patient documentation, provider accountability, and staff audit purposes.
To Log Off, all extra XLDent windows should first be closed, and only the Tooth Chart and XLDent Main Menu open. Click Log Off and once the new user logs in, the Chart re-opens to the last Patient, along with the personalized Chart and Toolbar Settings, and Treatment Favorites.
