Hackers are at it again!
May 04, 2017This week, Google users have been hit with a phishing attack targeted at Gmail. This digital worm has posed itself to look like an email from a trusted contact. The email includes a shared link to a Google Doc file. Unfortunately, that link is fake and if given permission, spreads to contacts in your email account and begins sending infected emails to them all.
If you did click the link and find yourself infected, refer to Google Help for some suggestions on reporting and securing your Google account.
This is just another reminder to be extra cautious about opening emails, even when they may look like they are from a familiar source.
