The Report Archive
Jul 06, 2016Some reports in XLDent have the capability of Print To File. This lets you store digital copies of the reports, eliminating the need for printed copies.
One example of using the archive is with the Accounts Receivable Report. This report is generated with current, as of now, values. To reference it at a later time, store an Archived copy of it.
Select the Print. Choose the Print To File option. The directory path to store the digital report will default to the Report Archive path on the Server. The file name will default to [ReportName][CurrentDate].PDF. Click OK.
Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free application) is required to view the stored PDF report files.
Additionally, reports can be saved in other formats, such as Microsoft Excel, Lotus, Quattro, and Rich Text.
When you're ready to review the archived reports, the Explore Report Archive button accesses the central storage area.
